Job Description

- Understand the software requirements.

- Meeting with system users to understand the scope of projects.

- Prepare test data required for testing.

- Generate test cases based on the requirements and other documents.

- Design test methods, test cases and other documentation for functional and regression testing under leader supervision.

- Stress testing.

- Performance testing.

- Integration testing.

- Create or assist in creating assigned test automation.

- Writing and executing test scripts.

- Test software releases by executing assigned tests (manual and/ or automated).

- Identify defects consistently and clearly that defects can be reproduced by the development team. Works with development as required to help reproduce issues and to insure defects are understood and valid.

- Reply to returned bug reports (for example, when a bug report is returned as not reproducible).

- Re-test resolved defects. Update test cases based on the discovered defects.

- Update test automation based on the updated test cases.

- Testing in different environments including web and mobile.

- Preparation of test reports.

- Report test results to the stakeholders.

Job Requirements

- Solid understanding of testing components and deliverables within the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them in to tests.

- Ability to work with software developers and discuss technical issues.

- Experience writing SQL queries.

- Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills needed.

- SQA Testing & Methodologies.

- Test Plans, Cases and Processes.

- Functional Software Requirements.

- Scripting & Documentation.

- Regression & Negative Testing.

- UI & Compatibility Testing.

- Data Interface & Migration Testing.

- Performance/Load/Stress Testing.

- Testing Automation.

- Defect/Bug Tracking.

- Test Strategies & coverage.

- QA & QC standards.

Preferred but not mandatory

- HR systems experience is a big plus.

- Experience working in Agile environment.

Qualifications

- BS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.

- ISTQB certified.

- 0-3 years of professional experience.
